/. tells us that a “creationism-espousing museum” will open in Petersburg, Kentucky. That’s just great.

Did you ever visit the one in San Diego while you were here?
i had no idea that there is one in san diego. where is it? would have gone at least once just to see the whole people-playing-with-dinosaurs thing.
Yeah, it’s in Santee…insert joke here. I had the opportunity to visit when I was in junior high, I think, and remember it being hokey. However, the Institute for Creation Research owns it, I guess, and I know the last decade or so has been big for them in promoting creationism and ID, so I bet they got lots of money to improve it, at least visually (given that the concept itself remains dubious). It’s called the Museum for Creation and Earth History.
So I was just looking at it a little further, and apparently they are also offering Masters Degrees in subjects such as Astro/Geophysics and Geology, as well as training up their own little army of Creation Science teachers to infiltrate classrooms (watch out Niko!). You can get these Masters Degrees in 2 summers for less than $10k.
